In 2023, the Supreme People's Court will receive 21081 cases and close 17855 cases. The year-on-year growth was 54.6% and 29.5% respectively. People's courts at all levels nationwide received 45.574 million cases and closed 45.268 million cases, up 15.6% and 13.4% year on year respectively.

Promote public security governance. It concluded 52000 cases of serious violent crimes, such as intentional homicide, and 62000 people. Lao Rongzhi, who had killed many people and absconded for many years, was approved and executed according to law.

Give full play to the judicial function in the fight against corruption. Twenty four thousand cases of corruption and bribery and other job-related crimes involving 27000 people were concluded. 30 former cadres in charge, including Shen Deyong, Sheng Guangzu and Li Wenxi, were punished according to law. We will resolutely break the corrupt people's dream of "one person fleeing and the whole family benefiting".

The Supreme People's Court formulated and issued judicial recommendations No. 1-5, covering the protection of film intellectual property rights and other aspects, to promote national and social governance through active justice.

We will help strengthen financial rule of law. In view of the continuous growth of disputes over credit cards and guarantee insurance contracts, No. 2 and No. 4 judicial recommendations were issued.

"Fishing for rights" must be curbed. In view of the large number of "infringements" caused by a company's improper business practices, the court held that the claim for profits should not be supported, and the batch litigation fell in response.

Carefully handle the cases around the people. Protect the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly. In conjunction with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, we released typical cases to clarify the rules for installing elevators in old residential areas and solve the problem of the elderly and the disabled going upstairs and downstairs.

We will safeguard the rights and interests of workers in new forms of employment. 142000 labor dispute cases involving new business types were concluded, down 10.2% year on year.
